Terms

The rules for booking with NomadFare, written to be read.

Who does what

NomadFare LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company, runs this site. We are a travel agent: we find the stay, show you one price, and pass your booking to our booking vendor. The booking vendor charges your card (today that is Nuitée, and the charge appears as Nuitée Travel Limited on your statement) and issues any refund. The property delivers the stay. NomadFare never sees or stores your card number.

Prices and currency

  • The price you see is the price on your card. Every price is one all-in total in US dollars, taxes and fees included and itemised beneath it. There is no separate NomadFare fee line.
  • We earn a margin that is already inside that price. It is our only way of making money on a booking. We never earn on currency conversion.
  • Everyone sees the same price, signed in or not.
  • NomadFare converts nothing. Where a property prices in another currency, the booking vendor turns it into the US dollar price you see; that conversion is the vendor's, not ours.
  • If your account is outside the US: You'll be charged in USD. Your bank sets the exchange rate and may add a fee.
  • If the booking vendor gives us an amount in another currency (a cancellation fee, or a fee the property collects on arrival), we show it as the property's currency, with an approximate US dollar figure and the reference rate's source named beside it.

One checkout per booking

A stay, a flight, and a car are each booked and paid for in their own checkout, with their own provider and their own confirmation, even when you book them in one visit. NomadFare never sells them together as a package or a bundle, and there is no single trip total.

Cancellations and refunds

  • Each rate shows its cancellation terms before you book: free cancellation until a date, a partial refund, or non-refundable. Deadlines are in the property's local time, with yours beside it.
  • You cancel from your booking page. Before you confirm, it shows what the vendor's terms refund right now and any fee.
  • Your refund is issued by the booking vendor to your original card. Banks usually post it within 5 to 10 business days; NomadFare does not control the timing.
  • There is no date change: to change dates, cancel and book again.

Rate watch

On a refundable stay we check the price daily until the free-cancellation deadline. If it drops by a qualifying amount, we offer you a rebook at the lower price. Nothing happens unless you tap to accept; it is not automatic and not a guarantee of a lower price. When you accept, we book the new rate first and then cancel the old one, so both charges can show on your card for a short time until the old one is refunded. There is no fee and we take no share of the saving.

Reviews

Only a guest who completed a stay booked through NomadFare can review it. Every review is labelled "Verified stay", and every property page says: "All NomadFare guest reviews are incentivized the same way, regardless of rating". Reviews from the booking vendor's network sit in their own section, labelled "Reviews from the booking network, not verified by NomadFare", and are never averaged with ours.

Tours and activities

After you book a stay, we may suggest tours and activities nearby from our partners GetYourGuide and Viator. Those links take you to the partner's site, where the partner sells you the activity. When you book through one of those links, the partner pays NomadFare a commission; it does not change the price you pay. These bookings are not NomadFare bookings.

Where we can take bookings

You need to declare your home state when you sign up. Residents of Florida, Washington, and Hawaii can browse everything, but can't book yet: we don't book travel for a state's residents until we are registered there as a seller of travel. We tell you at booking, not before.

Residents of the UK and Canada can book stays in US dollars. You'll be charged in USD. Your bank sets the exchange rate and may add a fee. Flights are not offered to UK residents.

If you live in the UK and book two different types of travel service in one visit, we show you this notice before the second booking:

You've already booked one travel service with NomadFare in this visit. If you book this one too, the two become a linked travel arrangement under the UK Package Travel and Linked Travel Arrangements Regulations 2018. They are not a package: you will not get the rights that apply to packages, and NomadFare is not responsible for the proper performance of either service. If something goes wrong, contact the provider of that service.

Each service is its own booking, charged to your card by its own provider. NomadFare receives no payment from you for either one, so there is none of your money for NomadFare to hold or protect. That also means nothing here refunds you if a service provider itself becomes insolvent.

Help

Your booking page answers most questions and connects you to the property. For anything about money or your account, you open a NomadFare case by email; a person at NomadFare answers within one business day.
